Cruise in Company

Lerwick is the arrival port of the Cruise in Company leg of the Tall Ships Races 2023.

The fleet will leave Fredrikstad in Norway on 18th July and instead of racing to Lerwick, will have the opportunity to stop at various Guest Harbours on the route to enjoy local hospitality and visit local attractions and landmarks.

This is an excellent opportunity for us to show off other areas of Shetland and Scotland, in addition to the Guest Harbours on the Norwegian coast. We are very pleased to be working with our Host Port colleagues in Fredrikstad to plan the route and the Cruise in Company Guest Harbours to coordinate the activities and entertainment schedules.

All ships must arrive in Lerwick by 12noon on Wednesday 26th July 2023.

Deck Hire Opportunities

Many Tall Ships make their deck spaces available for private hire to businesses or individuals in the main Host Ports, and in Guest Harbours. This creates an excellent opportunity to host a reception or party for staff, clients or even friends and family. Some ships are able to offer catering facilities on board, while others will allow external caterers to bring food and drink aboard - access will need to be arranged with the port/harbour if vehicle access to the quayside is restricted.

Deck hires can also incorporate live music or microphone / speaker facilities for presentations or entertainment. These arrangements can be discussed directly with ships and facilities brought on board where required.

Some Shetland Tall Ships Sponsorship Packages include a deck hire as a sponsor benefit and this can be extended to Guest Harbour locations. Please enquire with the team if you would be interested in a deck hire opportunity.
