Jolie Brise is a Class B, Gaff Rigged Pilot Cutter which was built at the Albert Paumelle Yard in Le Havre, France, and launched in 1913. With a homeport now in Hamble, England, the ship has a black oak hull, measures around 24 metres in length and weighs 44 tonnes. Owned by Dauntsey's School in Wiltshire since 1977, Jolie Brise has covered over 175,000 NM over the last 40+ years, taking trainees all over the world. The vessel can carry 5 permanent crew and 10 trainees and has a sail number of DS2. Jolie Brise has taken part in numerous races with great success over many years and is a regular competitor in the Tall Ships Races.
