Fryderyk Chopin is a Class A Brig, launched in 1992, and is named after the 19th century Polish composer. The ship has a total length of 54.74 metres with a hull measuring 44.35 metres, it has a long bowsprit so can set 5 headsails and take advantage of light winds. With an impressive rigging surface of 1200m2 and a tonnage of 306, Fryderyk Chopin has proved to be a tough competitor at sea. With a homeport of Szczecin in Poland, the ship can hold 47 trainees and 8 crew. A regular participant in Tall Ships Races including those of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2022 as well as The North Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2016.
